First Time
I’m so excited
but afraid I won’t
measure up
surely he’s had
better girls than I
the only thing
I’d improve on
is that I want to
share the experience with
Now get your mind
out from the gutter!
higher and higher
The world seems brighter
and softer, slightly blurred
fuzzy at the edges
everything more friendly
through the haze
I barely hear the words you say
floating off the ground
while sitting on the couch
Heart Burn
You make my heart hurt
Flaming ache crawling up
The pain makes me want to cry
I’ve tried every remedy
that I can think of
and a few I made up
No. Relief. In. Sight.
Oh, you light my heart on fire
It’s singed by your heat
yet still I love you
My beloved
jalapeno
Introductions
Angsty teen poetry.
I dreamt of fame,
though posthumous,
as befits angsty teen poetry.
But life went on, mine specifically
Posthumous publication being
impossible
whilst still living,
I opted to put the pen down.
Yet still my inner goth writes ballads
of tainted love, bitter tears and cutting words.
So publish I shall, though not yet dead,
via the interweb, boon to angsty teen poets everywhere.
