Damned if you do
because it’s probably not good enough
Damned if you don’t
dead weight, deadbeat, not good enough
It’s a heartbreak and a joy, all at once
like most things in life; a paradox
To those that do, that try
that put forth effort, even if it fails
you’ve earned your title
Dada, daddy, dad, pops, papa…
Anyone can be a father
sperm, egg and a chance meeting twixt the two
Not everyone can parent.
